In 1926, a young girl named Geneviève Aigloz embroidered her sampler on canvas with wool. She simply signed and dated her work, without indicating the place of origin. A mystery remains... which could have traced her story through some genealogical research. However, her name seems to evoke Savoyard roots.
Geneviève chose a limited palette, made up of bright colors, as was often the case at the time. Now it's your turn to interpret this design as you wish: pastel shades, soft harmony or a monochrome version... let your creativity speak!
The design was embroidered on 12-thread linen fabric in ecru. To be embroidered on ecru or colored fabric.
The chart is printed with symbols and colors (Ref: DMC) on 6 pages.
Design size: 280 stitches high x 313 stitches wide. If you embroider on 11-thread linen, over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5-count Aida, your embroidery will measure approximately: 50.9 x 56.9 cm.
