Emblematic sentinels of the Old Port, the Towers of La Rochelle have watched over the city's entrance for centuries. Witnesses to the city's maritime history, they alone tell the story of the golden age of La Rochelle trade and the power of this great port facing the Atlantic.

The Saint-Nicolas Tower, a true fortress overlooking the ocean, impresses with its monumental dimensions and its astonishing network of staircases and passages built into the thickness of its walls. Opposite it, the Chaîne Tower once controlled access to the port and monitored ships entering the harbor. Further on, the Lanterne Tower, the last medieval lighthouse on the Atlantic coast, reveals its slender silhouette topped by an elegant Gothic spire. Used as a lighthouse and then as a prison, it still retains many graffiti carved by prisoners over the centuries.

This cross-stitch creation brings together these three iconic monuments in a refined composition with soft colors inspired by French maritime heritage. Presented here on a yoga bag, this design will also find its place on a tote bag, a decorative cushion or in a beautiful frame for lovers of La Rochelle and the Atlantic coast.

The design was embroidered on DMC Aïda fabric, 5.5 stitches/cm, color 168. This support precisely renders the architectural details of the towers while maintaining the subtlety of the nuances used in the composition. You can also create this design on 11-thread/cm linen fabric, embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. The resulting dimensions will be identical. White, ecru or light natural fabrics will particularly highlight the bright colors of this scene inspired by La Rochelle's heritage.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
