Chart: ABC Chart, Cross Stitch Design

Long live monograms! True symbols of elegance and refinement, these interlaced letters once adorned our great-grandparents' precious linens. Sheets, towels, and trousseaus were thus personalized with delicate embroidered monograms, attesting to the care given to beautiful things and the French art of living.

Inspired by this tradition, this large ABC chart reinterprets the ancient monogram in a romantic, Versailles-inspired spirit. The letters unfold at the heart of a delicate composition of flowers, foliage, and ornaments inspired by the gardens of the Petit Trianon. The soft shades of sea green bring freshness, elegance, and lightness to the whole.

The design was embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm B5200 linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This luminous fabric particularly highlights the details and subtle color gradations. This design can also be made on Aïda 5.5 stitches/cm fabric for similar dimensions.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
