Inspired by the famous advertising plaques that once adorned the facades of shops, farms, and country bistros, these charming old advertisements elegantly revisit the world of local produce.

Fresh milk, farm butter, daily eggs, or farm specialties are highlighted in compositions full of character that recall the beautiful advertising posters of the early 20th century.

Conceived by Sylvie Teytaud, these creations captivate with their retro style and delicately patinated colors. The old typographies, illustrations inspired by farm products, and slightly dated hues lend an irresistible nostalgic charm to the whole.

True nods to old signs, these works will naturally find their place in a kitchen, dining room, or country house.

The design was embroidered on a Zweigart 12-thread/cm off-white linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This luminous fabric particularly highlights the details of the patterns and reinforces the authentic appearance of old advertisements.

This creation can also be made on a DMC 11-thread/cm linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on a 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric to obtain slightly more generous dimensions while facilitating the embroidery work. The pieces can be mounted on fusible interfacing or on a metal plate to reproduce the appearance of real old advertising plaques.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.

Design size: 120 stitches wide × 100 stitches high.
On 12-thread/cm linen embroidered over 2 threads: approx. 20 × 16.7 cm.
On 11-thread/cm linen or 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric: approx. 21.8 × 18.2 cm.

Both vintage, warm, and full of authenticity, this creation will bring to your interior all the nostalgic charm of old country advertisements.
