In the heart of Nancy, Place Stanislas is one of the finest examples of French classicism. Elegant, harmonious, and majestic, it is often considered the most beautiful royal square in Europe. Created in the 18th century at the initiative of Stanislas Leszczynski, former King of Poland and Duke of Lorraine, it is now the jewel of Nancy's heritage. With its gilded gates designed by Jean Lamour, its refined pavilions, and magnificent fountains, Place Stanislas offers an exceptional setting that earned it, along with Place de la Carrière and Place d'Alliance, its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
This cross-stitch creation captures all the elegance of this remarkable architectural ensemble and will appeal to lovers of French heritage, history, and architecture. Presented here on a tea towel, this design can also be adapted to many decorative or textile supports to add a touch of refinement to your home.
The design was embroidered on a tea towel with an integrated Aida band, specially designed for cross-stitch embroidery. This support allows for easy creation of the motif while creating a piece that is both useful and decorative. You can also create this design on 11-thread/cm linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5-stitch/cm Aida fabric. The resulting dimensions will be identical. Ecru or natural fabrics will particularly enhance the soft and elegant shades of this architectural composition.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
