Between the Mediterranean Sea and sunny hills, Nice perfectly embodies the Côte d'Azur way of life. Founded by the Greeks and then becoming one of the favorite destinations of the European aristocracy in the 19th century, the city captivates with its heritage, its exceptional light, and its famous palm-lined Promenade des Anglais. A city of art and culture, Nice has inspired many painters, including Henri Matisse and Marc Chagall, whose museums now attract visitors from all over the world. Its elegant architecture, colorful facades, and Mediterranean atmosphere make it one of the most beautiful cities in the south of France.
This cross-stitch creation celebrates all the charm of the Riviera through a luminous composition inspired by the landscapes of Nice. Presented here on a decorative cushion adorned with tassels, it will bring a sunny and refined touch to your interior while evoking Mediterranean seaside holidays.
The design was stitched on DMC Aida fabric, 5.5 stitches/cm, in ecru. This fabric allows for precise rendering of the many details of the motif while highlighting the vibrant colors of this Mediterranean scene. You can also create this design on 11-thread/cm linen fabric, stitched over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. The resulting dimensions will be identical. Ecru, sand, or off-white fabrics particularly complement the warm and bright hues of the Côte d'Azur.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
