Monochrome embroideries possess a unique elegance. Simple in appearance, they reveal their full finesse through the contrast of colors and the delicacy of their patterns. Combined with pretty coordinated fabrics—polka dot, gingham, or plain—this composition transforms a simple table runner into a true decorative element, ideal for decorating the home during the holidays or throughout winter.
Designed by Création Point de Croix, this model plays with traditional household linen codes revisited in a contemporary spirit. The embroidered frieze, repeated along the entire length of the table runner, harmoniously integrates with the different assembled fabrics to create a warm and refined piece. The shades of red and white evoke Christmas decorations while maintaining a timeless style that suits many interiors.
The model was embroidered on 12-thread/cm red linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This fabric particularly highlights the monochrome embroidery and emphasizes the elegance of the patterns with its deep, warm color.
This creation can also be made on 11-thread/cm DMC linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric, to obtain slightly more generous dimensions while facilitating the embroidery work.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: 160 stitches wide × 55 stitches high (repeatable pattern). Dimensions calculated for embroidery on 11-thread/cm linen fabric worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric: 29.1 × 10 cm.
The height of the finished embroidery is approximately 10 cm, allowing the pattern to be easily repeated along the entire length of the table runner according to the desired decorative effect.
This dimension is ideal for creating an elegant table runner, customizing a tablecloth, or making a refined textile decoration. Both understated, warm, and timeless, this monochrome embroidery will bring a touch of charm and authenticity to your interior, inspired by the most beautiful household linen works.
