This magnificent sampler features a donkey and a dog who seem to watch over the whole work with serenity, bringing a touch of life and fantasy to this traditional composition.

Designed by DMC and Création Point de Croix, this creation is inspired by the great samplers of yesteryear, where animals, alphabets and ornaments coexisted harmoniously. The numerous letters and motifs form a rich and balanced whole that catches the eye while retaining the characteristic elegance of old works. The donkey and the dog, true guardians of the sampler, give this embroidery a rustic and timeless charm.

The pattern was embroidered on a DMC 11-thread/cm linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This traditional support respects the spirit of old samplers and particularly highlights the delicate nuances of the threads and the richness of the pattern's details.

This creation can also be made on an Aida 5.5 stitches/cm fabric to facilitate the embroidery work, while maintaining similar proportions. Both supports allow you to fully enjoy the beauty and finesse of this composition.
