Long considered "poor man's vegetables," kohlrabi and parsnip are making a comeback in our kitchens, thanks to their authentic flavors and old-world charm. These heirloom vegetables inspire two embroidered panels here, reminiscent of old seed packets. Blending gardening tradition and retro spirit, these creations celebrate the return of forgotten varieties while adding a decorative touch full of character to the kitchen or pantry.
Their delicately embroidered botanical illustrations recall old horticultural plates and seed catalogs that inspired gardeners. An original way to combine a passion for cross-stitch, love of gardening, and authentic decoration.
The patterns were embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm off-white linen fabric 3866, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. These creations can also be made on Aïda 5.5 stitches/cm fabric for similar dimensions.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
