Also known as beardtongue, penstemon is a perennial particularly prized for its generous flowering and magnificent clusters of colorful flowers that brighten gardens throughout the summer. Elegant and airy, this ornamental plant inspires a delicate embroidered composition that will bring freshness, color, and refinement to your interior decoration.
True to the spirit of Marie-Thérèse Saint-Aubin's botanical creations, this embroidery highlights the natural grace of the flower through a subtle interplay of half-stitches, long stitches, and delicately graded shades. The motif almost seems drawn directly onto the fabric, offering a light and poetic result.
The model was embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm linen fabric in ecru, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This fabric particularly emphasizes the fineness of the details and the color harmonies. This creation can also be made on Aïda 5.5 stitches/cm fabric for similar dimensions.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: 134 × 147 stitches — approximately 24.4 × 26.7 cm on 11 threads/cm linen or 5.5 stitches/cm Aida. Ideal for a botanical picture to frame.
