Chart: The Poppy, Cross Stitch Creation

With its large, brightly coloured corollas and delicately crumpled petals, the poppy is one of the most spectacular flowers in the garden. Whether flamboyant red, luminous orange, soft pink or immaculate white, it immediately catches the eye and adds a touch of lightness to spring and summer flowerbeds.

This embroidered composition pays tribute to the oriental poppy, famous for its generous flowers and intense colours. The subtly worked shades reproduce all the fineness of its silky petals, while the foliage highlights the natural elegance of the plant. Once embroidered, this poppy will retain all its splendour long after its ephemeral flowering.

The design was embroidered on DMC 11-thread/cm linen fabric, sand colour 3866, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This warm fabric particularly enhances the luminous shades of the flower. This creation can also be made on 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric for similar dimensions.

The charts are printed with symbols and colours (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
