Nicknamed the "Green Venice," the Marais Poitevin is one of France's most beautiful natural areas. Its shady canals, traditional boats, and lush vegetation create a peaceful landscape where nature reigns supreme. The second-largest wetland in France, with over 112,000 preserved hectares, this unique territory offers incredible ecological richness and is a true paradise for lovers of wildlife, flora, and wide-open spaces.

This cross-stitch creation pays homage to the serene atmosphere of the Marais Poitevin. Between reflections on the water, abundant vegetation, and the gentleness of the landscapes, the pattern captures all the poetry of this emblematic place in western France. An elegant composition that evokes boat trips along the canals and the incomparable calm of this preserved nature. Presented here on a washed linen tote bag, this motif also makes a superb wall decoration or an original textile project to personalize bags, cushions, or everyday accessories.

The pattern was embroidered on Aida fabric 5.5 stitches/cm in color 168 from DMC. This support allows the numerous details of the landscape to be highlighted while offering a harmonious rendering of the shades used in this natural scene. You can also create this design on 11 threads/cm linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. The resulting dimensions will be identical. White, ecru, or very light blue fabrics will particularly enhance the soft and natural colors of the motif.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
