Chart: Old-fashioned Treats, Cross Stitch Design

Like an old image found at the bottom of a treasure chest, this delicate cross-stitch creation features charming greedy children in a world full of sweetness and nostalgia. Inspired by the black and white illustrations of yesteryear, the characters come to life thanks to subtle touches of red evoking candied fruits, sweets, and delicious homemade jams.

Between retro spirit, childish innocence, and delicate gourmandise, these refined little motifs will add a lot of charm to a sweet box, a decorative cushion, or an adorable accessory to offer. A creation full of poetry that recalls old-fashioned snacks, hidden treats, and tender childhood memories.

The patterns were embroidered on a 12-thread/cm white linen fabric for the box and on a natural linen cushion cover for the heart.
To be embroidered on an 11 or 12-thread/cm linen fabric, or on a 5.5 or 7 stitches/cm Aida fabric. To preserve all the delicacy of the motif and the antique spirit of the illustrations, choose a white, ecru, or natural fabric that will enhance the soft nuances and the small touches of gourmet red.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (Ref: DMC) on 6 pages.

Pattern size: The box: 39 stitches wide × 47 stitches high; on 12-thread/cm linen, the embroidery will measure approximately 6.5 × 7.8 cm. The heart: 70 stitches wide × 82 stitches high; on 12-thread/cm linen, the embroidery will measure approximately 11.7 × 13.7 cm.
