Nothing is more touching than a bouquet of flowers given with love. Inspired by an old plate preserved in the DMC museum archives, this creation features five delicate potted flowers in soft and luminous colours. Embroidered with simplicity and elegance, these floral compositions evoke gifts carefully made to celebrate mothers.
A true testament to the heritage of embroidery, this design plunges us back into the world of old-fashioned needlework. The naive shapes of the flowers, the stylized pots, and the vibrant colours recall the first designs published by DMC, when cross-stitch adorned household linen and handmade gifts.
Both decorative and timeless, this embroidery will naturally find its place in a bedroom, an entryway, or a living room. Made alone or integrated into a larger composition, it will bring a touch of freshness and nostalgia to your decor.
The design was embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm ivory linen fabric 3865, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This creation can also be made on 12 threads/cm linen fabric or 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric for similar dimensions.
The charts are printed with symbols and colours (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
