The retro elegance of cross-stitch sports posters. Inspired by old postage stamps and posters celebrating past Olympic Games, these two monochrome compositions pay homage to vintage graphic design with great elegance and character. Featuring stylized sports silhouettes, refined frames, and antique typography, these creations evoke the world of major competitions and the charm of early 20th-century illustrations.
The deep blue and antique red harmonies give these designs a decidedly retro and timeless atmosphere. Embroidered in a refined monochrome style, these compositions recall old engravings, advertising posters, and carefully preserved antique stamp collections.
Both understated and graphic, these embroideries will naturally find their place in a contemporary interior, an office, a library, or decor inspired by vintage objects and sporting heritage.
The designs were embroidered on 12 threads/cm ecru linen fabric.
Embroider on 11 threads/cm linen fabric, 5.5 or 7 stitches/cm Aida fabric, or even on evenweave for a more delicate result. To preserve all the antique charm and graphic elegance of the patterns, opt for ecru or natural fabric.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (Ref: DMC) on 6 pages.
Design size: 120 stitches wide × 110 stitches high; if you stitch on 11 threads/cm linen, over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5 stitches/cm Aida, your embroidery will measure approximately 21.8 × 20 cm.
