Majestic and timeless, the cliffs of Étretat are among Normandy's most iconic landscapes. Carved by the elements over centuries, these impressive white chalk cliffs dominate the English Channel and offer a natural spectacle of breathtaking beauty.
This cross-stitch creation captures all the poetry of this mythical place. The famous rocky arches appear on the horizon while two elegant strollers enjoy a day by the sea. Inspired by posters and postcards from the 1920s, this scene with soft colors evokes the charm of holidays of yesteryear and the elegance of Norman seaside resorts. Mounted here as a photo album cover, this design also makes a beautiful wall decoration or a refined souvenir for all lovers of French heritage and sea landscapes.
The design was embroidered on a 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric, color 168 from DMC. This fabric perfectly highlights the delicate nuances of the sky, sea, and cliffs while offering excellent readability of the design's details. You can also create this design on 11-thread/cm linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. The resulting dimensions will be identical. White, ecru, or very pale blue fabrics will particularly emphasize the bright and maritime atmosphere of this composition.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
