What lovelier picture to celebrate autumn than a scene filled with charming red squirrels feasting on hazelnuts? With their fiery fur, agile little paws, and magnificent bushy tails, these adorable woodland dwellers bring a touch of life and poetry to this nature-inspired composition.
Surrounding the hazelnuts, delicate foliage and plant elements create a harmonious setting in warm colors. This scene evokes forest walks when the trees display their most beautiful autumn hues and squirrels are busy building up their reserves for winter.
The design was embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm linen fabric in color B5200, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This bright fabric particularly highlights the natural shades of the motif and adds great finesse to the details of the animals and foliage.
This creation can also be made on Aida 5.5 stitches/cm fabric to obtain similar dimensions while making the embroidery work easier.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: 152 stitches wide × 150 stitches high — approximately 27.6 × 27.3 cm on 11 threads/cm linen or 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric.
