Like a sumptuous embroidered herbarium inspired by gardens of yesteryear, this cross-stitch composition combines the delicacy of antique alphabets with the vibrant beauty of poppies in full bloom. The large flowers with luminous red petals seem to dance amidst the refined letters, in a warm harmony of deep reds, soft greens, and natural shades.
With their generous, almost life-size proportions, the poppies bring to this creation all the poetry of wild gardens and light-drenched summer fields. Embroidered on natural linen fabric, this design is part of an elegant collection of floral samplers conceived as true decorative artworks to be displayed throughout the seasons.
The pattern was embroidered on 11 threads/cm natural linen fabric.
To be embroidered on 11 or 12 threads/cm linen fabric, or on 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric. To preserve all the elegance and warmth of the design, choose a natural, light beige or ecru fabric that will enhance the vibrant shades of the flowers and the refinement of the embroidered letters.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (Ref: DMC) on 6 pages.
Design size: 200 stitches wide × 200 stitches high; if you embroider on 11 threads/cm linen fabric, over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, your embroidery will measure approximately 36.4 × 36.4 cm.
