Red and blue, simple yet remarkably elegant, these stylized flowers testify to the talent of past designers in transforming geometric shapes into true decorative elements. Taken from DMC's historical archives, these delicate friezes harmoniously combine floral motifs and graphic lines to create refined borders intended to embellish household linen.
Inspired by the decorative arts of the early 20th century, these motifs were frequently used to adorn tablecloths, napkins, table runners, and linen pieces intended for special occasions. These friezes can be used alone or combined to create larger borders and easily personalize a tablecloth, placemat, or decorative piece.
The design was embroidered on DMC 11 threads/cm natural linen 842 fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This creation can also be made on 12 threads/cm linen fabric or 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric for similar dimensions.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: Modular geometric floral friezes — variable dimensions depending on the chosen model.
