Chart: In My Kitchen, Cross Stitch Creation

We loved the mattress-ticking inspired fabric of these kitchen accessories. The pattern, with its hints of color, reminds us of the charming, naive designs once embroidered on napkin pockets. For those new to cross-stitch, these two models are perfect for getting started and ultra-simple to embroider since the oven mitt and dishtowel are made of Aida fabric. Have fun adapting some elements to put on shelf liners and create a charming coordinated set.

The dishtowel and oven mitt are embroidered on 5.5-stitch Aida fabric.

Pattern size: Dishtowel: 48 stitches high x 218 stitches wide — Oven Mitt: 37 stitches high x 60 stitches wide. If you embroider on 11-thread linen, over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5-stitch Aida, your embroidery will measure approximately: dishtowel 8.7 x 39.6 cm — oven mitt 6.7 x 10.9 cm.
