The designs were embroidered on natural linen fabrics worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads:
• The Rooster: 12 threads/cm linen fabric.
• The Hen: 11 threads/cm natural colored linen fabric.

These creations can also be made on a DMC 11 threads/cm linen fabric or on a 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric to obtain similar dimensions while facilitating the embroidery work.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.

The Rooster: 99 stitches wide × 111 stitches high — on 12 threads/cm linen: 16.5 × 18.5 cm; on 11 threads/cm linen or 5.5 Aida: 18 × 20.2 cm.
The Hen: 77 stitches wide × 112 stitches high — on 11 threads/cm linen or 5.5 Aida: 14 × 20.4 cm.
