Like a delightful break in an English tea room, this cross-stitch creation features the famous carrot cake in a warm and characterful composition. The vibrant shades of orange, cinnamon, and gourmet beige stand out elegantly against the denim blue fabric to create a refined and resolutely modern contrast.
Inspired by homemade pastries and comforting recipes from across the Channel, this design combines retro charm and contemporary spirit in a harmony of bright and delicious colours. An original and wonderfully soft embroidery that evokes winter tea times, fragrant spices, and warm moments around a steaming cup of tea.
The design was embroidered on 12-thread/cm blue-jean linen fabric.
To be embroidered on 11 or 12-thread/cm linen fabric, or on 5.5 or 7 stitches/cm Aida fabric. To preserve the full intensity of the orange gradient and the elegance of the pattern, opt for a coloured fabric such as grayish blue, light slate, or denim, which will enhance the warm shades of the embroidery.
The charts are printed with symbols and colour (Ref: DMC) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: 147 stitches wide × 196 stitches high; if you embroider on 12-thread/cm linen, over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, your embroidery will measure approximately 24.5 × 32.7 cm.
