In kitchens of yesteryear, milk held an essential place. Freshly collected from the farm, it was used to prepare butter, cream, cheese, and many other delicacies that enriched family tables.
Inspired by this authentic world, this creation celebrates the iconic dairy products of country cuisine through a harmonious and charming composition.
Designed by Sylvie Teytaud, this colorful tableau is part of the tradition of decorative embroideries dedicated to the pleasures of home and the crafts of yesteryear. Milk jugs, cheeses, butter dishes, and farm accessories blend in a warm scene that evokes the gentle way of life in the French countryside. An ideal creation to bring a rustic and elegant touch to a kitchen or dining room.
The design was embroidered on pearl grey 12-thread/cm linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This refined fabric particularly enhances the colors of the motif while adding a lot of elegance to the overall piece.
This creation can also be made on a DMC 11-thread/cm linen fabric embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on a 5.5-stitch/cm Aida fabric to achieve slightly more generous dimensions while facilitating the embroidery work.
The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC references) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: 160 stitches wide × 130 stitches high.
