Patterns of old roses are delicately embroidered around an elegant alphabet in a perfect harmony of colours. Inspired by the famous botanical illustrations of Pierre-Joseph Redouté, this creation combines the timeless grace of the rose with the poetry of beautiful letters to create a refined and charming piece.
Designed by DMC and Création Point de Croix, this embroidery features a magnificent blooming rose surrounded by delicate buds and finely drawn foliage. The letters of the alphabet, lightly arranged around the floral motif, create a harmonious balance between tradition and elegance. Both decorative and timeless, this alphabet sampler will naturally find its place in a bedroom, living room, or romantic interior.
The model was embroidered on a light linen fabric, worked on 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. This medium particularly highlights the delicate shades of the petals and the fineness of the letters, while offering a result similar to old floral samplers.
This creation can also be made on a DMC 11 threads/cm linen fabric embroidered on 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on a 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric to obtain a slightly more generous and particularly pleasant embroidery to create.
The charts are printed with symbols and colours (DMC ref.) on 6 pages.
Pattern size: approximately 138 stitches wide × 193 stitches high. Dimensions calculated for embroidery on 11 threads/cm linen embroidered on 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on approximately 5.5 stitches/cm Aida fabric: 25.1 × 35.1 cm.
