Chart: Vegetable ABC, Cross Stitch Design

Carrots, radishes, cherries, raspberries... the treasures of the garden are featured in this elegant alphabet book with a country feel. Inspired by antique kitchen samplers, this work combines the beauty of traditional letters with a delicate collection of fruits and vegetables embroidered in warm shades of red.

Designed by Création Point de Croix, this creation charmingly reinterprets the world of old alphabet books. The letters are harmoniously arranged in the center of the design, while fruits, vegetables, and foliage form a light and refined border. Once framed, the embroidery brings an authentic touch to the kitchen or dining room, reminiscent of country houses of yesteryear.

The pattern was embroidered on light linen fabric, worked over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads. Its red monochrome particularly highlights the details of the motifs and recalls traditional decorative embroidery on household linen.

This creation can also be made on 11-count/cm DMC linen fabric, embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on 5.5-stitch/cm Aida fabric to achieve similar dimensions while making the embroidery work easier.

The charts are printed with symbols and colors (DMC references) on 6 pages.

Design size: 170 stitches wide × 140 stitches high. Dimensions calculated for embroidery on 11-count/cm linen embroidered over 2 warp threads and 2 weft threads, or on approximately 5.5-stitch/cm Aida fabric: 30.9 × 25.5 cm.
